Gaza

I am a British Palestinian, the son of survivors of Al Nakbah. My mother is originally from Bethlehem, and they were forced to leave their homeland when it was occupied by the Israeli army. They lost family members in 1948.

I am deeply troubled by the silence of the government, the Labour Party and lib dem and the greens regarding the genocide that is taking place. 

We are witnessing war crimes and genocide on a daily basis.

None of the other candidates here in Cambridge have been able to defend the children and call for a ceasefire.

It is time for us to take action and work towards a peaceful resolution and a better future for the region.

I come from an ancient family with roots that span thousands of years in a region that embraces diverse religious values, including Muslim, and Christian. We believe in a just peace for all, holding war criminals accountable and bringing them to justice, and establishing a government that respects the freedom and rights of the Palestinian people, who have endured suffering for over 76 years.
